1. I understand the M.E.S.T.I. Strategy, what else can I look out for if I am a long-term, medium-term, short-term or day trader?
Long-term trader: For a long-term trader, we are suggesting you to look at the fundamental prospect of the company, whether the business environment is good, is the company having enough competitiveness, any potential regulatory/geographical beneficial coming, any big contract entering, etc.
Medium-term trader: For medium-term trader, we are suggesting you to look for potential catalyst and trending theme on the market. The time frame of trades should range between 5-10 weeks.
Short-term/day trader: Traders are advised to look at technical chart of the underlying share before making any trading decision given the shorter time-frame.
Long-term trader: Consider the FATA strategy - Analyse the Fundamental prospects of the company & wait for the right Technical price to enter.
A trader’s Fundamental checklist may include the CAN SLIM strategy by William O’Neil –
C – current quarterly earnings
A – annual earnings
N – new product, service, or management
S – supply and demand
L – leaders or laggards
I – institutional ownership, and
M – market direction.
Trading chart timeframe: 1 day candlesticks
Medium-term trader: Consider the FATA strategy to pick a strong growth stock as well, but a heavier weight on medium-term price movements.
Fundamentals such as, potential catalysts & trending themes on the market.
Technicals such as, moving average crossovers, trend continuation patterns (triangles, flags, pennants, and rectangles etc) trend reversal patterns (double/triple tops, double/triple bottom, head & shoulders etc) The time frame of trades can range between 2 weeks to 2 months.

Short-term/day trader: Traders are advised to look at technical chart of the underlying share before making any trading decision given the shorter time-frame.
