U.S. stock jumped higher on good earnings reports despite new claims for unemployment benefits and initial jobless claims rose while existing home sales dropped. Dow Jones rose 1.99%, S&P 500 jumped 2.25%and Nasdaq rose 2.68%.
Microsoft reported a better than estimated net income of US$4.52 bil, a 48% jump as companies spend on computers as the business recovers.
Gamuda is expected to remain the biggest winner of the MRT project with the potential to increase its share price by 67 sen a share to RM4.50, said AmResearch. Structured warrants on Gamuda include GAMUDA-CH, GAMUDA-CI, GAMUDA-CJ, GAMUDA-CK and GAMUDA-JA.
