Asian market rose buoyed by the earnings from Microsoft. Nikkei surged 2.28%, HSI up 1.1% and STI up 0.6%. FBM KLCI rose 9.63 points to 1,345.68 led by Sime, CIMB, GENM and Maxis.
UK GDP jumped topped economists' forecast to 1.1% in the second quarter due to expansion in the services and manufacturing industries.
